 Tom Bachynski Vice President
I moved to 100 Mile House in 1998. We were chasing the dream of owning a General Motors franchise and on July 2, 1998 the dream became a reality and so Central GM was born. We have taken a small operation into a model GM franchise boasting high sales volume but even more important, customer satisfaction that ranks us as among the best in Western Canada. We took a company of 9 employees to a company with three locations and 33 employees that are all living, working and playing in the South Cariboo. The South Cariboo is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Core small town values are highly regarded here and I think that's what I like best. You do go help your neighbour and they return the favor without question. I believe the South Cariboo has great potential and hopefully I can do my part to develop that potential. Obviously I sit on the board for the Chamber but also as a director for the local Canadian Mental Health Association, President of 100 Mile House Wranglers Junior B Hockey Club, and on the steering committee for Communities in Bloom.

 Dave Dickie Treasurer
Donex Pharmacy & Department Store (formerly Spencer Dickie Drugs) is a family-run enterprise that has served the South Cariboo since 1967. The business is now owned and operated by my brother Gordon and I. Gord and I are very appreciative of the support the South Cariboo community has given us over the last 42 years. Our mission is to provide a wide selection of merchandise at a fair price, while maintaining excellence in customer service. Gord and I believe that in order to have a successful business, you need to be part of a strong business community. This is one reason we have been longtime supporters of our local Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber provides a united voice for local businesses on both regional and national issues. It also has numerous benefit packages to help small businesses compete in today's competitive environment. Another reason we belong to the Chamber is because its many locally-sponsored events offer Donex a great opportunity to give back to the community in which we operate.
